Former Wastewater Treatment Plant in Milwaukee | The 1/3-acre abandoned wastewater treatment plant was subdivided from the above-referenced tannery property in 2004. Initially, Caleb established plans to demolish the plant, which consisted of a 5,800 square foot, two-story concrete and block building and two concrete-lined, clarifier/equalization tanks. However, further evaluation resulted in a plan to renovate the building into office space.
This development plan was completed in two phases. The initial phase consisted of the demolition of the two outside tanks and a large silo, and the removal of substantial amounts of equipment, tanks, and piping inside the building. The second phase consisted of the renovation of the structure into Class A office space including 15 offices and a large multi-media/training room.
In July of 2005, Caleb and Drake moved into the renovated building. A third tenant has been secured for a portion of the building, resulting in the full occupancy. |
